HOW REFERRALS WORK

You make the introduction.
GLP Legacy does the rest.

GLP Legacy operates as a data broker. We help businesses evaluate whether permissioned operational data may have licensing value, prepare and position the opportunity, connect qualified opportunities with potential buyers or data partners, and help coordinate the commercial process.

GLP does not take ownership of the company’s data; any rights, permitted use, compensation, privacy, security, retention, deletion, exclusions, and transfer terms are defined in writing before any authorized transaction.

  1. 01

    Recognize

You know an established business owner who may have years of workflows, decisions and systems history.

  2. 02

    Introduce

With their permission, make a warm introduction to GLP Legacy. That is your whole role.

  3. 03

    GLP takes it from there

GLP Legacy acts as the data broker: reviewing fit, preparing the opportunity and connecting with qualified buyers or buyer-side data partners. The owner decides whether to proceed.

WHO CAN MAKE AN INTRODUCTION?

You don’t have to own the company.
You just have to know the right person.

You don’t have to own the company. You may work there. You may know someone who works there. Or you may simply know the business owner. If you can make a warm introduction to the right person—with permission—GLP Legacy can take it from there.

Business owner

Introduce another established owner you know, with their permission.

Employee

If company policy permits, make a permitted introduction to an owner, executive, or authorized leader in legal, finance, operations, strategy, or data.

Advisor / vendor / consultant

If your client or professional rules allow it, introduce a company you already serve to its authorized decision-maker.

Business or community connection

Connect GLP Legacy with an owner or executive you know, or with someone who can make that warm introduction.

If you work for the company, do not send internal files or confidential information. Start with a permitted introduction to an authorized decision-maker.

Follow your employer’s policies and any confidentiality, conflict-of-interest, ethics, procurement, compliance, or outside-compensation rules. Don’t bypass management or internal controls. Never share raw data, files, customer lists, payroll, personal or health information, credentials, pricing, trade secrets, internal reports, or other restricted material. GLP Legacy does not pay for confidential tips or unauthorized disclosures.

WHAT THE NUMBERS CAN LOOK LIKE

If the opportunity qualifies, here’s how the economics may work.

For the business

$100,000 to $5M+

Illustrative potential licensing value before fees. Actual value depends on the data, rights, buyer demand, permitted use, quality, uniqueness, and deal terms.

This is not a valuation, estimate, promise, or typical result.

For an eligible referral partner

Up to 10% of GLP Legacy’s net collected fee

If a qualifying introduction leads to a completed first transaction and GLP Legacy is paid, an eligible referral partner may receive compensation under a written referral agreement.

No completed transaction, no GLP fee, no referral payment.

PROPOSED COMPENSATION MODEL

Paid from GLP’s fee.
Only after a close.

Your job is the introduction — not explaining the whole opportunity. Proposed terms for this preview; not an offer. Final terms are set only in a signed written referral agreement.

  • Eligible referral partners may receive up to 10% of GLP Legacy’s net collected fee from a qualifying first transaction, subject to a written referral agreement, applicable law, company policy, conflict checks, and GLP receiving payment.
  • Based on GLP Legacy’s net collected fee — not the seller’s gross data value and not any estimated opportunity.
  • Referral compensation is agreed to in writing before an introduction is accepted.
  • No completed transaction → no GLP fee → no referral payment.
  • Eligibility for referral compensation must be confirmed in writing before the introduction is accepted; some people may not be eligible to receive compensation because of employer, professional, legal, or contractual restrictions.
  • Compensation may be unavailable or restricted for some employees, public-sector workers, fiduciaries, regulated professionals, or anyone whose employer or client rules prohibit it. No payment is promised before eligibility is confirmed.
  • No payment for a name alone, and no recurring or lifetime income is promised.
HOW REFERRAL COMPENSATION WORKS

Simple. Transparent.
Paid only after GLP gets paid.

The introduction creates the opportunity. The agreement defines the compensation.

  1. 01
    Qualified warm introduction

A permitted introduction to an authorized decision-maker, with eligibility confirmed in writing before it is accepted.

  2. 02
Completed transaction — and GLP Legacy is actually paid

A licensing transaction closes and GLP Legacy receives its compensation. No close, no GLP fee, no referral payment.

  3. 03
Eligible partner receives the agreed share

The agreed share of GLP Legacy’s net collected fee from that first directly attributable transaction, as set out in the written referral agreement.

Eligibility must be confirmed in writing before the introduction is accepted. Actual compensation depends on the written referral agreement and completed transaction economics. No buyer, transaction, or payment is guaranteed.
